Karl Broad/Roger Grant were the most notable retirement of the Sunday stages suffering clutch bearing failure early after Stage 7 in their Subaru Impreza WRC. A car which Karl debuted at this event.

27 cars fell by the wayside during the Saturday stages. The majority of the retirements due to mechanical failures. 13 of these competitors worked to rectify their vehicles overnight to make the start again for Sunday's additional "Trophy Rally" which tags on the back of the main event. James Harvey/Ben Harvey Subaru Impreza ending the day as winners of this event.

The weather on Sunday had been slightly warmer than Saturday giving dry and often dusty road conditions.

Peter Lloyd/Graham Handley - Impreza S12 WRC wins !

Congratulations to Peter Lloyd/Graham Handley in their very rapid Subaru Impreza WRC for taking victory on the 2010 K&R Mitsubishi Stages Rally by an impressive 42 second margin over eventual runner up pairing of David Kynaston/ Andy Russell in their equally awesome Audi A3 Quatro. The intense battle for overall victory raged on over the weekends 12 special stages with the top 5 finishers amazingly ending the event line astern in their original starting order.

All our hearts go out to overall winner Peter Lloyd who barely had chance to savour the victors laurels before learning that cruely his business had been broken into back home ! We can only hope that the perpetrators are caught soon and the goods retrieved.

Glorious bright winter sunshine greeted the competitors for Saturday's first leg of 6 special stages although the surface was deceptively slippy with the sub zero temperatures early on. 48 competitors entering parc ferme at the end of the days proceedings. Sunday dawned a little overcast with the overnight leader Peter Lloyd continuing to set the pace from the start of leg 2. The crew of car 42 deciding to hot things up a little bit too literally further down the order with an under bonnet fire ! quickly extinguished by the efficiant marshals the fire was out but unfortunetly so was the car. Thankfully both the driver and Co-driver completely unhurt by the incident.. Local crew of Andrew Hicks/ Richard Bliss were also having an unintentional extra eventfull day at one point temporarily parking the front of their Peugeot 106 (car 47)on top of a rock! on the side of grass verge, however they quickly recovered their compsure on their way to 35th overall.

The organising team Club RallySport West extend thanks to all for the fantastic support given throughout this weekends K&R Mitsubishi stages. Everyone present in whatever capacity, Venue Staff, Sponsors, Competitors, Marshals, Officials, Media, Spectators, all revelled in the event's enjoyable party style atmosphere. Also many thanks to the generosity of the donations to the "Help for Heroes" cause, The final amounts are still being totted up and there will be a Cheque handover presentation to the charity organisers within the next few weeks.
