ANOTHER RECORD ENTRY MAKES THIS THE BIGGEST YET…..
BREAN RALLY COMES TO TOWN….

It’s action all the way with this years Brean Stages Rally and is set to be the biggest yet with a record entry of  over 100 starters at the Brean Leisure Park venue in Somerset.

With the event hosting the opening rounds of 3 major regional championships competition for top honours is bound to be keenly contested over the 2 days of rallying in the park. The rally, which takes place on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 January has received entries from all around the UK and is one of the West's largest and most popular motor sports events.

The rally actually gets under way for the competitors on Friday 23 January when the pre rally scrutineering comes to Weston-super-Mare.  The rally cars will arrive at the Weston College's new Automotive and Motorsport Technology Centre on the Locking Road from 1pm on Friday afternoon until approximately 7pm for a pre rally inspection by the events scrutineers.

This facility will be open to the public who will get the opportunity to view the rally cars and meet the drivers.

Entered for the second year at Brean will be the 2011 British Truck Racing Association champion driver,  Dave Jenkins, probably better known for his exploits on TV driving the slip-streaming truck for bike racer Guy Martin in the channel 4 programme ‘Speed’.

Six  special stages will be completed throughout Saturday with a further six stages on Sunday and an added Trophy Rally incorporating those competitors who were unfortunate to retire from the rally on the Saturday stages and who manage to put things back together for the Sunday morning re-start.

The rally is held entirely within the grounds of Brean Leisure Park and is organised and promoted by locally based Club Rallysport West. Spectators are welcome into the park over both days and indoor and outdoor catering facilities will be available.
 
The organisers have ensured that spectators are well looked after with 3 viewing area, one of which has a covered grandstand giving excellent viewing across the inner field stages.

Brean is one of the very few venues in the South of the country where spectators can watch this exciting sport at close quarters. Spectators will be admitted to the park over both days of the rally with an admission charge of just £5 (accompanied children under 12 will be admitted free) and car parking will be £5. Gates open on both days from 8.30am.

RALLY IN THE PARK 2015……

Preparations are now well in hand for the South West’s annual premier stage rally, the Brean Stages Rally  held at the Brean Leisure Park in Somerset. The rally will be held over the weekend of  24th and 25th January 2015 with pre rally scrutineering of he cars at the Weston College Skills Campus Motorsport Technology Centre on the Locking Road on Friday 23rd January.

This will be the nineteenth consecutive year for the rally at Brean and it promises to be as exciting and as big as ever with some of the top rally crews from around the UK expected to enter.

The rally, promoted by locally based Club Rallysport West, will be the opening round of 3 major regional rally championships, the Association of South Western Motor Clubs, Association West Midlands Motor Clubs Heart of England and the Cotswold Motor Sport Group. 

The rally is held entirely within the confines of the Brean Leisure Park in Somerset and is expected to attract a capacity entry of around 90.  The crews will tackle the12 special stages over 2 days around the roads of the Brean Leisure Park. Such is the popularity of this West Country event that enquiries for entries have been received from all parts of the UK.

The rally is once again expected to attract a wide range of rally cars from state of the art World Rally Cars to the ever popular Ford Escorts, Vauxhall's and Peugeots.

A great feature of the rally will be the pre rally scutineering of the cars, which will take place at the Weston College Campus in the Locking Road on the Friday preceding the rally. This provides an excellent chance for the public to see the rally cars close up and admission to the campus is free.

The organisers are ensuring that spectators are well looked after with 3 spectator areas giving excellent viewing of the rally stages. This together with a covered seated grandstand and the parks inside and outside catering facilities will provide a weekend extravaganza of motorsport. Spectators will be admitted to the park over both days for an admission charge of just £5 (accompanied children under 12 will be admitted free) and car parking will be £5.
